Environmental Technician

Emily has been with BAY since 2021 as an Environmental Technician. Emily assists and provides technical support to BAY’s project managers on a variety of projects focusing on industrial environmental compliance & reporting, wetland delineations, asbestos inspections, storm water pollution prevention plans & inspections, ground water monitoring & sampling, and Phase I property assessments. While at BAY, Emily has participated in numerous continuing training opportunities such as a Basic and Advanced Wetland Delineation courses, DHS Certified Asbestos Inspector Training, and 40-hour HAZWOPER training. Emily received a Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation Biology with a minor in Environmental Science from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she gained valuable environmental experience through internships, field experience, and course work.

Bay Environmental Strategies, Inc. (BAY) has an immediate opening for a Safety Technician. The position will directly support H&S Project Managers providing services to existing BAY clientele. This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience in the H&S field with the ability to advance.

The position requires a strong understanding of OSHA health & safety, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated, to work independently, communicate clearly to different types of clients, perform necessary activities, problem solve, take on new tasks, and work well in groups. Generally, travel is within two hour’s radius of Green Bay; but project work may dictate statewide travel. A valid driver’s license is required. A Bachelor of Science/Arts degree is required; however, an Associate’s Degree will be accepted if sufficient, relevant work experience.

Jim RabideauJim has been assisting his industrial, mining, and real estate development clientele in maintaining compliance with the ever changing environmental regulations. He has a wide range of experience ranging from air permitting, reclamation planning, storm water permitting to investigating potential environmental risks associated with acquisition of properties and businesses.

Jim has an Earth Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He is also registered with the State of Wisconsin as a Professional Geologist & Soil Scientist. Along with his partners, Noel and Dennis, Jim founded BAY in 2001 with the goal of providing turn-key EHS consulting services.
